November 22, 2016 – the 1-st stage of the All-Ukrainian contest for the best knowledge of English among students of Chernivtsi National University was held by the Department of Foreign Languages for Natural Sciences. The contest tasks prepared by our tutors S. Kozubska, O. Dribniuk, L. Botsvinok, L. Makoviichuk covered the main activities: Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening, and Comprehension. 38 students from different faculties of the University, who are fond of English, took part in the contest for the best knowledge of English. The winners of the first stage of the Language Olympiad were determined according to the maximum number of the points obtained.
Andrii Teselko /54 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, won the 1-st place.
The 2-nd place was shared by Oleksandra Horiukova /50 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, and Viktor Vasylevskyi /48 points/, a third-year student of the Faculty of Geography.
Serhiy Prots /47 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, and Oksana Karucheru /47 points/, a first-year student of the Institute of Biology, Chemistry and Biological Resources, took the third place with equal number of points.
