November 29, 2016 – the 1-st stage of the All-Ukrainian contest for the best knowledge of German among students of Chernivtsi National University was held by the Department of Foreign Languages for Natural Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Languages for Humanities. The contest tasks covered such activities as Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening, and Comprehension.
25 students took part in the contest: 7 students of the Department of Foreign Languages for Humanities, 11 students of the Department of Foreign Languages for Natural Sciences and 7 students of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Translation from the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations.
Svitlana Konstantyniuk /83 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, was the best and took the 1-st place.
The 2-nd place was shared by Olha Bilous /82 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, Oleksandr Maniuk /74 points/, a second-year student of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction, Arts and Crafts, and Maksim Koroliuk /74 points/, a first-year student of the Physical, Technical and Computer Sciences Institute.
The third place was occupied by Viktor Vasylevskyi /73 points/, a third-year student of the Faculty of Geography, Dmytro Baranets /71 points/, a first-year student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, and Kateryna Panfilova /70 points/, a first-year student of the Institute of Biology, Chemistry and Biological Resources.
According to the results, the Contest Organizing Committee recommended Svitlana Konstantyniuk, a first-year student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, to participate in the 2-nd stage of the All-Ukrainian students’ contest for the best knowledge of the German language.
