How much do you know about the history of Halloween?
Are you afraid of black cats? Would you open an umbrella indoors?
On the 31st of October, Saturday, 1st year students specializing in Software Engineering participated in an online Наlloween Celebration party in a Google Meet format. The event organized by Tetiana Tonenchuk was aimed to introduce students to cultural peculiarities of Halloween traditions in English speaking countries. Students were encouraged to discuss English vs Ukrainian superstitions and positive thinking advantages.
The participants watched and discussed videos about Halloween origins and about superstitions, shared their opinions on how positive thinking might be helpful in one’s everyday life and studies, took a quiz about Halloween symbols and history. And some even prepared costumes and accessories to wear at the party
