Cooperation with the international alliance of European universities UNITA

Since 2022 representatives of the Department of Foreign Languages for Natural Sciences participate in international educational events of the UNITA alliance of European universities.

On July 6-8th, 2022 assistant of the department Tsyntar N.V. and associate professor Kolisnychenko T.V. presented Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University at the meeting of the UNITA alliance in Turin, Italyfor the first time, taking part in a practical seminar on the topic “Multilingualism in Action”. The teachers participated in the discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of microcredentials and strategies for their accumulation by students within the mobility programs between partner universities of the alliance, they also got acquainted with international projects on the implementation of programs to expand cooperation between our university and the UNITA alliance.

On March 16-17th, 2023 associate professor of the department Tonenchuk T.V. represented Chernivtsi National University (together with the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, prof. Osovska I.M. and associate professor, candidate of Economics, Vinnychuk O.Yu.) at the meeting of the alliance “Internationalization of Educational Programs through UNITA”, which was also held in Turin.

More than 150 professors from 12 partner universities and associated universities of the UNITA alliance met at the University of Turin to discuss the main internationalization models and areas of study already adopted by the Alliance universities.

Having gathered in 36 working groups of specific scientific areas, the teachers discussed possible cooperation to provide students with more opportunities to study abroad, as well as to find new learning methods – virtual mobility, mixed intensive programs, international summer schools involving students and professors from different universities.
